The Vispring Traditional Bedstead Mattress is available from our bespoke range of made-to-order Vispring mattresses and beds. This product is specifically for American sized bedsteads. Sumptuously filled with blended and bonded Platinum Certified British fleece wool, the Traditional Bedstead comes with a wool spring pad to protect the longevity of the mattress by providing a discreet shield against its underside so that it is not damaged by wooden slats.

Handmade in England

Vispring use only the finest renewable and 100% biodegradable natural materials to make their mattresses. The Traditional Bedstead begins with a honeycombed nest of row upon row of Vispring’s handmade Vanadium steel springs, each of which are encased in their very own natural cotton calico pocket for utmost breathability. Alongside a wool spring protector pad, hand-teased layers of cotton and British fleece are added and covered with protective wool and the finest quality ticking, cushioning the springs whilst also providing a fresh and hygienic sleeping surface. Before securely tape-edging and hand-tufting the materials into place, the mattress is applied with 2 hand-stitched rows of natural twine along its edge, providing essential additional support so that no metal rods are needed, meaning that your Vispring mattress need not compromise on comfort or longevity. The Traditional Bedstead is then finished with horizontal handles and breathable air vents, all catered to your choice of comfort level: soft, medium, firm or extra firm.
